New Delhi. Amidst the recent crisis facing IndiGo Airlines, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has categorically stated that the sole objective of formulating rules and regulations should be to improve the system, not to cause harassment to ordinary Indian citizens. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju shared this information on Wednesday, citing the Prime Minister’s remarks during a meeting of NDA Members of Parliament.
The Prime Minister’s comments come at a time when reports of technical glitches and delays across several IndiGo flights are making headlines. Passengers are being forced to wait for hours at airports, and numerous flights are also being cancelled.
**What did PM Modi say?**
According to Kiren Rijiju, the Prime Minister stated during the meeting that we must ensure that any rules formulated serve to strengthen the administration and simplify people’s lives, rather than creating difficulties for them. The Prime Minister emphasized that since any policy or regulation directly impacts the common man, it is imperative that such measures be approached with sensitivity.
Rijiju further informed that, while referring to the ongoing crisis at IndiGo, PM Modi also issued directives to officials to take immediate action. He noted that minimizing inconvenience to passengers remains a top priority for the government.
